I seriously don't know what else to try at this point. When I tried to enable it, windows came back with 'Windows was not able to enable this device' It said it was successful but the device was disabled.

I instructed it to try to install the newest driver I had already downloaded to my desktop. Typically it'll work for a day or so and then the problem comes backД¤: Under device manager I looked at the Ethernet Connection properties. I've even uninstalled the entire network adapter from device manager with the driver and reinstalled it. This has worked temporarily but I've had to do it three or four times now. Once I hit 'enable' windows will say that it has enabled it but it does nothing and continues to show as disabled.ДЈ: Reinstall the drivers. Sometimes it will say I do have a functioning ethernet cable and try to fix the problem by disabling and reenabling the network adapter but would get stuck trying to enable it again.Дў: Tried to manually enable the network connection. I've checked the cable applying internet cable with a laptop and can verify that it does work. It comes back saying I have no ethernet cable connected.

Sometimes immediately upon system start up the internet works fine but after 1-3 minutes disconnects and shows the network adapter as disabled.ДЎ: Try Windows built in troubleshoot utility. When I look under Network Connections in the control panel it shows the adapter as disabled despite not disabling it. Windows will show that I'm not connected to the internet. The recurrent problem I seem to be having is worth my network connection. For additional info the motherboard installed is an ASUS Z170-A board. I recently built a new PC with a clean install of Windows 10.
